Stillness from the past

the water is very still.
no breeze to disturb the sleeping waters.
the air almost forzen.
only it burns when it touches the skin
not a leaf that moves
only my breath in and out of my lungs
seems so outta place in the stillness.
like mocking it to move.
only the clock ticks away.
almost without desire.
like afraid to go against everthying so calm
n a moment passes like a lifetime..
a moment burdened with a lifetime.
a moment so heavy..
so thick it lingers even after its long gone.
like its fighting to stay when everything else does
but cant beat its character so reluctantly moves leaving its shadows
shadows..of the past..
which grows thicker n deeper...
threatening to swallow tomorrow....
n my eyes darting away seeming outta place..
like a caged bird...my eyes..
the only reflection of the turmoil of my restless soul....
the desire still alive..to break free....
n so the wait continues....
till the air moves ....
seems like it mite rain....
changing seasons...n breathing life into everything again!
